I got a Wii Fit for Christmas. It was not the most expensive gift, but it is one of the best.

Now to know me, exercise is not my forte, and I feel it every day. I am almost too embarrassed to reveal my BMI. And the Wii Fit calculates your BMI!  Okay, Wii considers me obese with a BMI of around 40. Healthy is 22. I have a long way to go.

I did not open the Wii Fit on Christmas, but I did open it on Friday. It was very simple to set up and follow through with the initial body check. I then started at the beginning of the exercises with the yoga, then went to strength training which led to cardio and finally really fun balance exercises.

Yesterday was the second day of use, and my BMI went down a little and my exercise scores actually got a little worse because my body is not used to this exercise.

Now here is the real gem, and the reason for my blog post. When I got up this morning, the aching pain in my back was much better. I can not attest that the Wii Fit is the cause, but it sure is the only other thing I was doing to help my back in the past two days.

Not sure what a Wii Fit is? Here is the official Trailer for the Wii Fit Game Accessory.

If you already have a Wii Console, then you know the simple kind of fun a Wii can be. Adding the Wii Fit actually makes exercise more fun and bearable. I look forward to trying to keep up with the Wii Fit on a daily basis and reaching a BMI out of the Obese range. I will keep you updated as I unlock more exercises.
