Meetup – Does It Work

Meetup – Does it work

I will admit I was skeptical when someone asked me to create a meetup group.

I mean, meeting people I have never met before. Who knows what could happen!

Well I feel that I am big enough that I would be safe in a public place meeting with people having the same interests.

So to the Coffee shop I go to meet with 2 fellow internet entrepreneurs that want to make a go of it.

I go tthere early to stake the place out, order my coffee and make sure the internet connection was working. My MacBookPro hooked right up to the wireless system and I was checking my e-mails when 1 of the Andy’s who had repsonded showed up.

Andy was a part time affliate marketer and had some pages built at weebly on the Kindle. He proved to me that when Oprah speaks, the world listened. He said the week Oprah mentioned the Kindle as one of her great products he made $3500 in one week.  Ok, I listened!

The other person who had RSVP’d did not show, so it ended up being the two of us for about 1 1/2 hours taliking about internet marketing and how to do certain things. The one thing that struck me about Andy, is he followed the instructions well and did what someone had showed him from a to z and it made hime some money. Pretty Cool, It can be done.

My problem is wanting to do everything my way. I have always been the one to look at a whole bunch of ways to do one thing and then think I am smarter and do it my way. Sometimes it pays off, and sometimes I waste a lot of time getting nowhere.

Now, about this meeting, and what I would like to see happen. I started this meeting because I believe in a product called the List Building Club by Tellman Knudsen.  It is one of the most extensive step by step systems I have seen to Create Wealth On The Internet

Back to the meeting, by no means was it wasteful and was by far very productive. I am glad I went and will be rescheduling the next one in a few weeks.

Now Take Action to Make It a Good Day

David

Soon I will be going to a meeting at a coffee shop close by with other people interested in using the internet to increase their business by building a list.

I started this meeting by using a service called meetup. You can find the service here;

http://www.meetup.com

and you can find see how a meetup posting looks by going here

http://www.meetup.com/The-Santa-Barbara-List-Building-Club/

What I find very exciting about this service is that it is easy to use, guides you in just about every aspect, notifies you when things need to be done, etc…

One of the best features is every week I get an e-mail telling me what kind of meetup groups people are looking for in my area. So if I find something that is interesting, I can start up a group and pretty much already have attendees waiting to come.

If you are an organizer, and are willing to put out a little work, then I believe this is an avenue is used correctly could be used to make many new friend and network with like minded business folk. it is most definetly not a waste of time.

No Go Make it a Good day and Take Action to make your life better.

Create Wealth On The Interent dot com is up and running.

Using tools provided to me with my subscription to a great service called

Traffic Geyser, I was able to create a great landing page for the Create Wealth

on the Internet web site. What is really cool about the tool is that it allows to

easily change the design or wording so you can make several versions of the

same page, thus allowing split testing.  Remember Test, Test, Test when you

are internet marketing.

Beside that, on this first Sunday of 2009 My life partner Kurtis and I took all the

Christmas decorations down and rearranged the furniture in the living room.

Not sure why we didn’t do this earlier, the plan works great.

Well it is time to spend some time with him, so I will sign off for tonight.

Talk at you tomorrow.

Learning new ways to make money online is always a success!

Well it is January 2nd, 2009 and writing this post on this blog this morning is in keeping with one of my new goals of posting to this web site every day! A public Journal if you will.

Yesterday was productive, not only did I get to Traffic Geyser and start reviewing their training videos, I found an Awesome Video on how to get started on the internet without even having a website. How cool is that.

Even though I have many websites, I thought that Mike’s Awesome Video is so easy to follow, why can’t I do it. So I started it. I may not be going as fast as Mike in completing the project since it is my first time through,  but I feel good about what I am doing. What is even more powerful, is this system will be a great way to enhance my business in a weekend product I am developing at the moment.

Click on this link to Traffic Geyser to find out more about this cool video. Or if you want to go directly to the video, then click on this link: Awesome Video

I promise you will not be disappointed and will quite actually be amazed at how easy it can be!

Today their are no appointments with the Brick and Mortar, So my daily goals are to:

  1. Deal with e-mail and not get too distracted
  2. Finish this Awesome Video project and start another
  3. Work on the Business in a weekend product
  4. Get involved in the 30 day challenge plus to see what it is all about.

Now go out there and make it a Great Day

David

Hi everyone,

It is now the first day of 2009, almost 8 in the morning where I live, the fog outside is so thick I can’t find my car to take the dog to the park. (no it is not a hangover, I have not had a drink in over 14 years)

I have decided this year that I am not going to make any resolutions, they never work anyway. What I have decided to do is to look at my life, try to identify my downfalls and work on them. In other words it is time to remember the words that got me sober so many years ago. They were “Replace Fear With Faith”. It is my inner feeling that when I fear an outcome that “might” happen I change direction and try to find the simpler easier way.  I need to learn again to replace my fear with faith in my higher power and that no matter what I “think” might happen my higher power will always be at my side to help me and support me.

So for 2009 I look forward to a great year, a year of change, and year in which goals I have set will be achieved. Good Bye 2008, you were not my best year, but not my worst either.

So one of my goals, is to write a new blog entry everyday. And guess what, this is the first on written on January 1st 2009. ANd here is what I have done before 8 am so far to achieve the goals I have set.

I have gone to my Meet-Up page and scheduled to Meet-Ups for the Santa Barbara Area. One on Podcasting and one on List Building. I have zeroed out my e-mail and shut down the e-mail program until this afternoon so it will not distract me. And I have written this post. Not to mention I have fed the 2 cats, Tinker and Pebbles, and Maxwell our new dog. Pretty productive.

Here is what I plan on working on today.

I am going to study more at Traffic Geyser on how to promote my online business with video.

I am going to finish my new product called Business in a Weekend and start building the promo.

And I am going to make a new post for all my active blogs besides this one.

Okay, goals for today set. Time to publish, get up and stretch and get to work.

Have a great day and a great 2009.

I got a Wii Fit for Christmas

I got a Wii Fit for Christmas. It was not the most expensive gift, but it is one of the best.

Now to know me, exercise is not my forte, and I feel it every day. I am almost too embarrassed to reveal my BMI. And the Wii Fit calculates your BMI!  Okay, Wii considers me obese with a BMI of around 40. Healthy is 22. I have a long way to go.

I did not open the Wii Fit on Christmas, but I did open it on Friday. It was very simple to set up and follow through with the initial body check. I then started at the beginning of the exercises with the yoga, then went to strength training which led to cardio and finally really fun balance exercises.

Yesterday was the second day of use, and my BMI went down a little and my exercise scores actually got a little worse because my body is not used to this exercise.

Now here is the real gem, and the reason for my blog post. When I got up this morning, the aching pain in my back was much better. I can not attest that the Wii Fit is the cause, but it sure is the only other thing I was doing to help my back in the past two days.

Not sure what a Wii Fit is? Here is the official Trailer for the Wii Fit Game Accessory.

If you already have a Wii Console, then you know the simple kind of fun a Wii can be. Adding the Wii Fit actually makes exercise more fun and bearable. I look forward to trying to keep up with the Wii Fit on a daily basis and reaching a BMI out of the Obese range. I will keep you updated as I unlock more exercises.
